Reporting channel

Report a violation

If you see something that breaks the law, the terms of use, or an undertaking this platform has made, tell us. A report reaches the person who acts on it, and is followed up in confidence.

What belongs here

Anything that touches the safety of the data, the integrity of the evaluation, or the security of the platform — whether it came from a user or from the provider's own staff.

  • Misuse of student or school staff data, or sharing it with anyone who has no right to see it.
  • Tampering with evaluation evidence or results, or crediting someone else's work to another.
  • A user reading another school's records, or anything their permissions inside their own school do not allow.
  • Sharing sign-in codes, or using someone else's account.
  • Violating or abusive content in the platform community.
  • A security vulnerability in the platform or any of its services.
  • Misconduct by the provider's own staff while running or supporting the platform.

Choose the right channel

Each channel opens the reporting form with the kind of report already chosen, so it reaches where it belongs without you having to explain where that is.

Confidentiality and protection

  • Confidentiality. Only those who need it to act on the report see it, and we do not reveal a reporter's identity except where the law requires it or the investigation demands it, and then as narrowly as possible.
  • No retaliation. No adverse step is taken against anyone who reports in good faith, even if the report turns out on examination to be mistaken. A malicious or knowingly false report is itself a violation.
  • The reply. We begin examining a report as soon as it arrives, and our answer reaches the address you wrote within two working days. Where something needs a longer investigation we tell you so, rather than leaving you without news.

Your name and address are asked for so the answer can reach you and so we can come back with anything that needs clarifying — not because the report is passed around. Who reads it is the first paragraph above.

Important

This channel is for reports alone, so that it stays what it says it is and is not crowded by everything that has another route.

Your report protects a school that is not your own

Student data and evaluation evidence are a trust held by everyone who touches them. What you can see and we cannot is the fastest route to putting it right.
